IMPORTANT NEWS: TRUTH IMPOSES ZINC SURCHAGE FOR ALL ORDERS SHIPPED BEGINING JULY 5.

To Our Valued Customers:

Beginning July 5, 2006 Truth will begin charging a “Zinc Surcharge” on all hardware containing zinc. While our desire is to keep our prices as low as possible, we are not able to absorb this cost in our pricing structure.

Beginning on all orders shipping July 5 or later we will pass the zinc surcharge on as a separate line item on your invoice. I have included Truth’s letter detailing the surcharge. The letter contains detailed information on exactly how the surcharge will be calculated. I urge you to read it carefully. We will pass on the surcharge at cost to help keep the impact to your price low.

I am sure that no one is happy with this increase in prices, but I do believe that Truth has structured the surcharge fairly. Most importantly, Truth states in their letter that the increase will be capped at no more than 10% of our purchase price by line item, which should help to mitigate the damage.
